Passion 2 - Herp Alpert

Everyone has got to listen to this... : Rise (1979) by Herp Alpert and the Tijuana Brass
I just love the part where they dance behind Herp like he was the Pied Piper. The guy in white trunks and curly hair reminds me of how Roderick Paulate (Filipino movie actor) played his gay roles in the movies... Listening to it brings back memories....

More of Herp, ...This Guy's In Love With You I remember hearing this song in the summer of 1968. We would spend our summer vacations (whole two months) up in Baguio. Let's see, we would be at the Wright Park at least twice a day (the route would be via the Grotto, Mansion House, Teacher's Camp... for at least an hour each time). Then we'd be in some of these places almost everyday - Burnham Park, Camp John Hay, Easter School, The Cathedral and the convents on Sundays with lunch at the Star Cafe, PMA, , the market, Mines View Park, Baguio Country Club, Session Road ... I'll write about Baguio again another time.

A Taste of Honey
(1966 with an unusual video)? I would hear this music all the time coming from my grandparents house, probably my uncle playing an LP on his turntable.

Rise.... I think I played this about eight times tonight... no, ten! Okay, at least twelve... I guess I will never get sick of it.
